  1. You need 2 litres of Milk.
  2. You need 110 gms of Sugar (may vary according to sweetness preferred).
  3. Prepare 100 gms of vermicelli Fine.
  4. Prepare 25 – 30 of Almonds (blanched,peeled and slivered).
  5. It’s 25 – 30 of Pistachios ( blanched, peeled and slivered).
  6. It’s 4 – 5 of Dates (chopped).
  7. It’s 3 tbsps of Chironji (charoli nuts) (soaked and skinned removed).
  8. It’s 100 ml of Ghee.
  9. It’s ¾ tsp of Cardamom powder.
  10. It’s 2 – 3 of cardamom Green.
  11. You need 2 – 3 of Cloves.
  12. It’s Pinch of strands of Saffron.

  1. In a pan, heat 75ml ghee, sauté slivered almonds, pistas, chirongi and dates till golden(but not burnt), remove and keep it aside.

  3. In heavy bottom pan, bring the milk to boil.
  4. Once start boiling, add cardamom powder and simmer on low heat till milk turns pink in color.
  5. Add sugar, saffron and stir till sugar dissolves.
  6. Add roasted vermicelli, and dry fruits and simmer for another 8-10 minutes, stir occasionally to avoid burning.
  7. In a small pan, heat the remaining ghee, add green cardamom and cloves and fry for 30 seconds.
  8. Pour the tempering over the prepared sheer kurma.
  9. Dish out, garnish with few saffron strands and serve hot.
