How to Cook Perfect Oreo cake (my style)

Oreo cake (my style). This Oreo Cake has two layers a rich, moist chocolate cake filled and covered in a light Oreo whipped cream frosting! It makes a great birthday cake. This cake is easily one of my favorites (especially because I'm not particularly a lover of frosting…fun fact) that I've ever tasted, none the less made.

So you might remember that last year I mentioned that the hubs and I were going to South Africa, both to visit his family and And celebrations call for cake. Ingredients of Oreo cake (my style)

  1. Prepare of of water.
  2. Prepare of 3/4 vegetable oil (peanut oil optional).
  3. It’s of eggs.
  4. Prepare of Philadelphia cream cheese.
  5. It’s of white frosting (any brand).
  6. It’s of pack of oreos.
  7. Prepare of betty crocker cake mix (white).
  8. It’s of of melted butter.
  9. It’s of of vanilla extract.

This Chocolate Oreo Cake is a fabulous celebration cake. My Oreo Drip Cake has always been one of the most popular cakes on my blog, and even though it's three years old now, it still gets made so often! It does make the cake incredibly tall, but you know… that's my style. I love how everything thing in this cake is so satisfyingly round. round cakes, round.

Oreo cake (my style) instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Add 2 boxes of (betty crocker) cake mix into a mixing bowl..
  3. Do As directed on the box adding double amount of eggs and water into the bowl.
  4. Add peanut oil or vegetable.
  5. Crumble half the pack of oreos and mix into the batter.
  6. Save rest of oreos for later.
  7. Add the mixture into two baking pans. You will have batter left over to make the next two layers..
  8. Bake for 30 -34 minutes.
  9. Once finished baking. Let cool and add the other two pans into oven.
  10. While baking mix two (betty crocker) white frosting into bowl.
  11. Add 2 packs of cream cheese into the same bowl.
  12. Add 2 table spoons of vanilla extract.
  13. Add 1/4 stick of melted butter.
  14. Mix all ingredients for 2 minutes or until creamy.
  15. Once all cakes have cooled. Add the frosting to each layer. Stacking as you go.
  16. Crumb coat the cake. Put in the fridge for 1 hour.
  17. Take out and spread the rest of the frosting..
  18. Crumble the left over oreos on top of the cake.

  20. Finished..
