Suji sheera/hlwa. Sheera or suji halwa is a delicious Indian pudding made with semolina, ghee,nuts & cardamoms. Sheera or sooji halwa, a sweet, but had as part of breakfast by seasoned Mumbaikars. I am a suji lover, and this recipe is really awesome.

Semolina, when made sweet, is called sheera. Several variants of this dish are available under other names in various parts. In a deep bottom pan heat milk till it get boil once. You can cook Suji sheera/hlwa using 8 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Suji sheera/hlwa

  1. Prepare 1 cup of suji.
  2. You need 1 cup of sugar.
  3. It’s 1 cup of ghee.
  4. Prepare 1.5 liter of milk.
  5. Prepare 1 spoon of green cardamom powder.
  6. You need 10-15 of kishmish.
  7. You need 7-8 of almond thin sliced.
  8. Prepare 7-8 of almond half sliced and roasted for garnishing.

Now take a thick bottom non-stick pan and heat some clarified butter (ghee) in it. It has no sugar and bananas bring in the natural sweetness. Having said that, there is absolutely no rule against you having it at any other time as well. Suji Halwa or Rava Sheera – Sooji Halwa.

  1. Kadahi me ghee dalenge hlka gram hone par suji dalenge aur 7-8 min bhun lenge tb tak dudh v gram hone ke liye rakh denge.
  2. Jab bhun jaye to usme kishmish dal de 1 minutes baad kishmish ful jayegi tb usme thin sliced almond dal denge..Fir thoda thoda karke dudh dalenge.
  3. Aur lagatar chalate rhenge taki lumps na bane aur jab kadahi ghee chodne lge to sugar add krenge aur chalte rahenge taki sugar achhe se melt hokr ghul jaye….
  4. Fir chhote sa bowl lenge aur howa nikal kar almond se garnish kar ke serve krenge.
