  1. For Sheera – Take a medium bottom pan and start heating the desi ghee (clarified butter) in it. Add wheat flour and cardamom powder and roast it well. Kepp roasting it for about 15 minutes or so..
  2. On the other hand, boil water. Put this water in roasted flour and keep stirring the pan continuously. Let the water evaporate. Once the water evaporated put sugar in it again stir continuously. After 5 min turn off the flame..
  3. Wheat flour sheera is ready, Top it well with dry fruits(I don't like dry fruits)..
  4. For Tikla- take wheat flour in bowl, sprinkle salt and carrom seeds in it. Now add 1/2 serving spoon clarified butter. Mix all into flour..
  5. Slowly add water little by little. Gather flour together as you add water. When it starts coming together add water little by little. Knead into a dough, apply ghee and knead again..
  6. Cover in kitchen towel, set aside for 15 min. To make tikla, pinch balls off the soft dough..
  7. Using a rolling pin roll into a small disc (it should not be very thin) if you like to make perfect round tikla use cookie cutter. I generally prefer hand made once. Make all tikla and pile them up..
  8. Meanwhile heat clarified butter in a deep kadai. To fry tikla gently slide a rolled out tikla into ghee. Push tikla downwards slowly into ghee with the back of a spoon and let it puff up..
  9. Once golden and puffed up, remove on a tissue. Make remaining tikla the same way.
  10. Now serve tikla with warm sheera..
