Ingredients of Besan Sheera

  1. Prepare 5 tbsp of Besan/ Gram Flour.
  2. You need 1.5 cup (250 ml) of Milk:.
  3. You need 2 tbsp of ghee.
  4. Prepare 3-4 of green Cardamoms.
  5. You need 3 tbsp of Sugar.
  6. It’s 1/4 cup of slivered almonds.
  7. It’s Pinch of kesar (optional).

Besan Sheera instructions

  1. Deseed Green Cardamoms and make a powder of the cardamom seeds..
  2. Warm the milk and add saffron to it so that it gets dissolved in it..
  3. Now put ghee to a pan add the Besan and mix it thoroughly and cook for 5-7minutes on low flame..
  4. Roast Besan until it changes the colour to golden brown and emits a nutty aroma..
  5. When it's roasted nicely on low flame Start adding milk to the fried Besan slowly and mix vigorously so that no lumps formed by the Besan..
  6. Keep the flame in the lower side. Add entire Milk and if required add little more in case found the mixture less runny..
  7. Now add Sugar, almonds and Cardamom Powder to the mixture and keep cooking in low flame until the mixture thickens a bit (less thickened than Halwa)..
  8. Switch the flame off and serve the Besan ka Sheera hot..
