Chicken Haleem step by step
- Take half cup of oil in a large pan and fry chicken with ginger garlic paste for few minutes..
- Add all the spices and fry for few more minutes.Then add all the pulses, barley and wheat in the pan, mix well..
- Now add 16 cups of water and bring to boil..
- Now low down the heat and let it cook for three hours, stirring occasionally..
- Check if pulses are done and water has reduced to half..
- Now turn off the stove for few minutes and take hand blender and blend chicken pieces in the pot. Just blend few times..
- Note: if you don’t have blender then use masher and mash everything really well..
- Now turn on the flame add a cup of water and cook for thirty minutes..
- Separately fry onions in some oil and add in into the Haleem..
- Let it cook for fifteen minutes. Adjust the consistency and turn off the flame..
- Dish it out,garnish it and serve with naan..
