Ingredients of Hyderabadi Haleem

  1. It’s 800 gms of broken wheat.
  2. It’s 1-1/2 kg of mutton with bones.
  3. Prepare 2 tbsp of All spice powder.
  4. It’s 1 tbsp of Black pepper powder.
  5. Prepare to taste of Salt.
  6. It’s 4-5 tbsp of Ghee.
  7. Prepare 1/2 kg of Curd.
  8. Prepare 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
  9. You need 1/4 tsp of haldi/turmeric powder.
  10. You need 1 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
  11. You need of For mutton..
  12. It’s to taste of Salt.
  13. It’s 2 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
  14. It’s 1 tbsp of All spice powder.
  15. You need 1 tbsp of Black pepper powder.
  16. It’s as needed of Mint leaves,lemon,fried onions and cashews for garnishing.

Hyderabadi Haleem instructions

  1. First soak the wheat in water for 5-6 hours..
  2. Then let it boil in enough water and add ginger garlic, all spice powder and black pepper powder..
  3. Take an wooden masher and keep mashing the porridge while cooking it all time..
  4. Meanwhile pressure cook the mutton with ginger garlic paste,black pepper,all spice powder and enough water..
  5. Pressure cook it for 8 whistles in slow flame..
  6. Let the mutton cool off and shred it..
  7. Now add the shredded mutton in the cooking porridge..
  8. Also add the leftover mutton stock to it..
  9. And keep on mashing..
  10. In a bowl take curd,add chilli powder,turmeric and mix well..
  11. Add in the cooking porridge..
  12. Keep on mashing..
  13. Add Ghee and salt to the cooked wheat..
  14. Keep on mashing and mixing until it gets thick and sticky.
  15. Garnish with ghee,fried onions,cashews,lemon and herbs..
  16. Enjoy it!.
