  2. It’s 1 litter of Milk.
  3. Prepare 4 tsp of Sugar.
  4. Prepare 1 tsp of Cardamoms (green) crushed.
  5. Prepare 1 pinch of Saunf powder.
  6. It’s 3 tsp of Poppy seeds roasted & grinded.
  7. You need 5 of Dry rose flour petal.
  8. You need of For halwa__.
  9. You need 2 cup of Carrot greted.
  10. It’s 2 cup of Milk.
  11. You need 5 tsp of Sugar.
  12. You need 4 tsp of Dryfruits.
  13. It’s 2 tsp of Malai.
  14. You need 1 tsp of Green cardamoms crushed.
  15. Prepare 2 tsp of Desi ghee.

I got this recipe from Tarladalal cook book and the recipe follows. Gajar Halwa, made with grated carrots, khoya, milk, dry fruits and ghee, this halwa has a divine taste and aroma that take you to another world. You may be wondering, Is there any difference in taste and texture (traditional vs In traditional carrot halwa, milk is evaporated slowly which makes tiny granules of milk solids. So you get that granular texture while eating it.

  1. In a hot pan put ghee,add grated carrot..
  2. Fry it 2 miniute in the high flame..
  3. Add milk let it boil.add sugar,malai,cook it 2 miniute again..
  4. This time it will be cook,& seems thicker..
  5. Slow the flame add cardamoms..
  6. Add dry fruits,mix it well..
  7. Take it out from the flame. Let it be cool..
  8. In other pan boil the milk,let it be thick..
  9. Add sugar, cardamoms,mix it..
  10. Add dry fruits poppy seeds,saunf, rose petals.mix it well..
  11. Remove it from the flame..
  12. Serve it in a bowl sprinkle some dry fruits in it..
  13. Make 1 layir of halwa,1 layir of rabri.then garnish it with dry fruits..
  14. A beautiful combination of rabri & halwa is ready to serve..

Continue to cook until the halwa gets thick, the ghee gets seperated and will come out on the sides of the pan. Add the cardamom powder, mix well, garnish with nuts and. Grate carrots. (use the blade with small holes). Fry cashew nuts and raisins in a little ghee. Heat a tsp of ghee and fry the carrots a little.
