Punjabi Chole step by step

  1. Soak the chickpeas in bowl of water for 3-4 hours.
  2. Rinsed the soaked chickpeas and pressure cooker it till it becomes tender.
  3. Put tomatoes, onion,green chilli,Ginger and garlic in the blender to make a fine puree..
  4. Heat oil in the pan and saute the puree until it starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  5. And chole masala, red chilli powder, amchoor powder, green chillies and garam masala in the puree.
  6. Cook for a while and add water. Add the chickpeas and stir well. Add salt and simmer the gase.
  7. Mash a few chickpeas sothat the gravy thickens switch off the flame.
  8. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with purees or bhaturas.
