Ingredients of Dahi Vada

  1. You need 1 cup of urad dal (washed and soaked for 6 hours).
  2. You need 1/2 tsp of inch ginger piece.
  3. It’s 3-4 of green chilli.
  4. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of Whole cumin.
  5. You need To taste of Salt.
  6. It’s as needed of Lukewarm water.
  7. You need 1/4 teaspoon of Hing.

Dahi Vada instructions

  1. Firstly grind the soaked urad dal in blender along with ginger, green chilli, whole cumin in a smooth paste by adding 4-5 tablespoon water. Whip the mixture with hand or whisker for 5 mins. Now in medium flame heat oil add urad dal paste 1 tablespoon at a time and fry the vadas until golden brown..
  2. Now soak the vadas in lukewarm water adding salt and hing in the water for 15 mins..
  3. Meanwhile whisk curd with some black salt, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder. Now in a plate add few soaked vadas (squeezing out the water) and add curd over it.
  4. Add boiled potato slice (optional), add green chutney, sweet tamarind chutney.
  5. Add black salt, roasted cumin powder over it, add fried sev and ready..
