Aam Panna, a beverage from my school days. Apart from aam ka panna, there are many traditional beverages posted on blog which you can make during summers. Few such recipes are For the sweetener, you can use sugar or jaggery. You can cook Aam Panna with Jaggery using 8 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Aam Panna with Jaggery

  1. You need 400 g of Raw mangoes peeled.
  2. You need 1.5 cups of jaggery.
  3. It’s 2 teaspoon of black salt/ rock salt.
  4. Prepare 1 cup of fresh mint leaves.
  5. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of pepper.
  6. Prepare 1 teaspoon of Cardamom powder.
  7. It’s 1 teaspoon of roasted cumin powder.
  8. You need 2 cups of water to pressure cook.

Since I made a video, I have used sugar as in some countries jaggery may not be available. Aam panna recipe or kairi panna (Indian summer drink) – Make a big batch of mango panna concentrate and store in refrigerator and use as Jaggery (or sugar) – Increase or decrease the amount as per the tartness of your mangoes.   1. Pressure cook mangoes until tender.
  2. Once steam is released, strain the liquid and keep it aside. Mash the mangoes thoroughly.
  3. Grind mint leaves with little water to form paste.
  4. Add the paste and rest of the ingredients to the mangoes and mix well until well -combined..
  5. The Aam panna concentrate is ready. Store this in air tight container in refrigerator..
  6. To prepare the drink, add 2-3 tbsp concentrate and mix with strained mango liquid or cold water and mix well. garnish with mint leaves and ice cubes.Serve chilled.

It is made from raw mangoes and is yellow to very light green in color, and is consumed as a tasty and healthy beverage to fight against the intense Indian summer heat. Aam ka panna made in many variations either boiling or roasting raw mango. This is my mother favourite drink during summer time & she usually If you are a bit sugar-conscious then you can even replace sugar with jaggery.
